Flights:
Agen is the nearest commercial airport to the house (40 minutes; 40km) for flights from Paris or by private plane; for small aircraft the flying club airfield "Aeroport du Herret" between Condom and Valence-sur-Baïse is only 15km away!

Ferries: They are many and varied - we may have missed some...
Times and distances from Google Maps It's a longish drive particularly from Calais, but you can put your car on the train in France from Lille to Avignon (479 km, 4h39 to Escrimis-la-Chapelle) or Narbonne (305 km, 3h07) and from Paris to Toulouse (152 km, 1h46), Bordeaux (148 km, 1h48) or Tarbes (113km, 1h56). SNCF doesn't want to make things easy, however, and at the time of going to press there were no published timetables for 2010 - check their website for updates.
Trains: There is an excellent rail service using the Eurostar and TGV from London to Agen via Paris - the total train journey time from St Pancras International to Agen is about 7h40 including changing trains in Paris and then it's only 48 km or 53 minutes to Escrimis-la-Chapelle.
